SUBSTANCE : device comprises a working chamber capable of vacuumising, a heating facility for the working chamber, a retention facility for an evaporated metal material in the form of a volume element and a treated item inside the working chamber. At the same time the heating facility is operated under lower pressure in the working chamber, and the working chamber is heated to the temperature, at which at least the evaporated metal material evaporates, creating the atmosphere of metal vapours inside the working chamber, so that the metal atoms in the atmosphere of the metal vapours engage with the surface of the heated treated item. At the same time the evaporated metal material comprises at least one of Dy and Tb, and the treated item is a sintered magnet based on iron-boron-rare-earth elements, having the specified shape. Besides, the temperature during heating of the sintered magnet may be controlled so that the metal atoms engaged with the surface of the magnet may diffuse into the border of crystalline grains.
