PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare-earth magnetic refrigerant for magnetic refrigeration system, having a large entropy change ΔS in magnetic phase transition, having a ferromagnetic phase transition temperature Tc close to room temperature, and capable of being simply, safely and stably produced by using a nontoxic material. SOLUTION : The rare-earth magnetic refrigerant for magnetic refrigeration system includes as a matrix, a magnetic alloy comprising rare-earth elements and transition metal elements, and also contains boron.
