PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an inexpensive method for cultivating tomatoes enhancing sugar content and taste of the tomatoes and enhancing crop yield of the tomatoes. SOLUTION : The method for cultivating the tomatoes includes : (a) a step for arranging a plurality of cultivating containers having bottom parts with root passing property in the longitudinal direction in the plurality of lines such that end parts contact each other on the ground surface of the earth including cultivating soil; (b) a step for arranging a liquid fertilizer feeding system including a liquid fertilizer feeding tank, a pressurizing pump, a flow rate adjusting valve, and liquid fertilizer feeding pipes having a plurality of liquid fertilizer feeding holes; (c) a step for arranging and fixing the liquid fertilizer feeding pipes one by one parallel to the longitudinal direction on the upper parts of the end part side walls of the plurality of cultivating containers arranged in the longitudinal direction of the respective lines arranged in the plurality of lines; (d) a step for filling the cultivating containers with culture media respectively; and (e) a step for planting one or more of tomato seedlings in the cultivating containers filled with the culture media, respectively.
