PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a particle, a composition, and a wavelength conversion layer which are excellent in light-emitting characteristics such as an emission wavelength region and cause less energy loss during wavelength conversion.SOLUTION : A photovoltaic device of the present invention is characterized in that a semiconductor particle used as a wavelength conversion material and containing two or more kinds of rare earth elements absorbs light having a wavelength of more than 200 nm and 600 nm or less and emits light having a wavelength of more than 600 nm and 1300 nm or less. According to the present invention, the particle, the composition, and the wavelength conversion layer which are excellent in light-emitting characteristics such as an emission wavelength region and cause less energy loss during wavelength conversion can be provided.COPYRIGHT : (C)2012, JPO&INPIT
