PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a grinder and a grinding method, achieving high-accuracy grinding. ?SOLUTION : This grinder includes : a conveying mechanism (a first conveying rail 11 and a second conveying rail 21) for conveying a workpiece; and grinding wheels 12, 22 for grinding the workpiece 1 conveyed by the conveying mechanism. An energizing means 31 for pressing and supporting the workpiece 1 is provided in the vicinity of the grinding wheels 12, 22, and the tip 31a of the energizing means 31 is located between the maximum outside diameter and the maximum inside diameter of the grinding wheels 12, 22.
