PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a bearing steel material whose rolling-fatigue service life is improved which is suitable as the parts, such as "ball bearing", "roller bearing", being important parts in an automobile and an industrial machine. SOLUTION : The bearing steel material includes mass% of 0.5-1.2% C, 0.1-0.9% Si, 0.1-2.0% Mn, ≤0.03% P, 0.0003-0.03% S, ≤0.005% O, ≤0.02% N and further, 0.0002-0.021% Te, and is satisfied with Te/S>0.4, or 0.0001-0.016% Te and 0.0001-0.005% Ca, satisfied with (Te+Ca)/S>0.4, and has monotectic-solidified sulfidation-series inclusion. Instead of a part of Fe, a prescribed content of Al, or one or more elements among prescribed contents of Cr, Ti, V, Mo, Nb, Ni and REM(rare earth metals) can be contained.
