A high performance sintered NdFeB magnet and the manufacturing method of the same are provided. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps : (1) forming R-Fe-B-Al (wherein R represents one or more elements selected from rare earth elements comprising Nd) alloy flake using vacuum quick-solidification technology; (2) coating Ra-Al or Ra-Al-X (wherein Ra represents Dy and/or Tb; X represents one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Co, Cu, Ga, Zr) metal infiltration agent onto the surface of the alloy flake; (3) heating the coated alloy flake for making the infiltration agent infiltrate into the grain boundary of the alloy flake. The Nd and/or Pr in the main phase of the alloy flake is substituted by Ra in the infiltration agent infiltrating into the grain boundary of the alloy flake, thereby forming a double main phase structure wherein R2Fe14B phase is surrounded by Rh2(Fe, Al)14B phase with high content of Dy and/or Tb (wherein Rh denotes the content of Dy and/or Tb is higher than the content of Dy and/or Tb in R; and some Fe atoms are replaced by Al atoms). The method can efficiently improve the coercive force of the NdFeB magnet, remarkably reduce the consumption of heavy rare earth, and improve the corrosion resistance of the NdFeB magnet simultaneously.
