PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To chamfer a corner part or an edge part of a rare earth magnet in a proper shape so that sludge is not stuck on a surface while preventing chipping and igniting of the magnet. SOLUTION : A chamfering method of the rare earth magnet includes a process to make rotating brushes 10, 50 and the corner part or the edge part of the rare earth magnet 3 contact with each other and a process to supply a coolant on a contact part between the brushes 10, 50 and the rare earth magnet 3.
