PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode for a cold cathode discharge tube which has both spattering resistance and deep drawing performance without using rare metal(e.g. molybdenum(Mo), niobium(Nb), vanadium(V), titanium(Ti), zirconium(Zr), hafnium(Hf) and chromium(Cr)) except nickel substantially.
SOLUTION : A pair of electrodes 21 and 22 for a cold cathode discharge tube is manufactured by using an alloy containing 17.0-23.0 mass% of iron(Fe), and nickel(Ni) and inevitable impurity as a remaining part.
