PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a short-arc discharge lamp which comprises : a main body composed of an insulation member having a reflection surface and a discharge space; and a translucent window member disposed at a front opening to seal the discharge space, in which a pair of cathode and anode is disposed facing to each other, and has a structure in the short-arc discharge lamp with rare-gas encapsulated to prevent infrared light from the lamp from being emitted to the outside. SOLUTION : A window member disposed at the front opening of a main body is coated with an infrared light reflection film and the window member is tilted by a predetermined angle against a plane perpendicular to a reflection surface of the main body.
