PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an R-T-B based rare-earth permanent magnet which obtains higher magnetization rate with a low magnetization field, and has a magnetization rate of a higher rising speed until it reaches a magnetization rate of almost 100%, e.g. 90%.
SOLUTION : An organic metal compound solution doped with an organic metal compound represented by M-(OR)x (wherein M contains at least one kind from among Tb, Nb, Co, Zr, Cu and Al, R is one of 2-6C alkyl groups and may be a straight chain or a branched chain, and x is an arbitary integer) is doped to a fine powder of a pulverized R-T-B based magnet, and the organic metal compound is uniformly deposited to the surface of magnetic particles. After that, a molded body formed by powder compaction is maintained for several hours at 200-900°C, in a hydrogen atmosphere to execute temporary baking processing in hydrogen. Then, the resulting product is baked at 800-1, 180°C, thereby a permanent magnet 1 is manufactured.
