PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To stably perform a generally uniform RH diffusion treatment throughout a sintered magnet body. SOLUTION : The method of manufacturing R-T-B-based sintered magnet includes : a step (A) of preparing an RH diffusion source formed of a material containing a heavy rare-earth element RH, and an R-T-B-based sintered magnet body; a step (B) of bringing the sintered magnet body into linear contact with a horizontal surface and arranging the sintered magnet body and the RH diffusion source obliquely with respect to the horizontal surface by a support member; and an RH diffusion step (C) of performing heat treatment at 600-1, 000°C with atmospheric pressure ≤102 Pa for 10 min to 48 h.
