Disclosed is a production method that can efficiently produce a case-body bonded magnet wherein a tubular bonded magnet and a tubular case are firmly compression bonded. The method for producing a case-body bonded magnet is provided with : a filling step wherein a magnet starting material containing at least one type of rare earth magnet powder and a thermosetting resin as a binder is filled into a tubular cavity; a thermoforming step wherein the magnet starting material is compression molded while heating the magnet starting material, causing the thermosetting resin to be in a soft state or a molten state, obtaining a tubular molded body; a discharge/press-in step wherein said tubular molded body is pressed into a metal tubular case, which has an inner surface that is coaxial with the tubular cavity, while being discharged from said tubular cavity; and a thermosetting step wherein the tubular molded body is heated along with the tubular case, curing the thermosetting resin. By means of thermosetting the tubular molded body that has been pressed into the tubular case, the tubular bonded magnet, of which the tubular molded body has been changed, expands due to heat more than expected. As a result, a case-body bonded magnet is obtained wherein the tubular case and the tubular bonded magnet are firmly compression bonded.
