PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnet that can obtain high magnetic flux, and has improved scratch resistance and corrosion resistance properties even if a coil and a magnetic circuit are formed. SOLUTION : The magnet comprises : a magnet element body 4 containing a rare earth element; a first coating layer 6 formed on the surface of the magnet element body 4; and a second covering layer 8 laminated on the first covering layer 6. In the magnet, the first covering layer 6 contains a magnetic metal, and the second covering layer 8 contains a Cu alloy. The Cu alloy is preferably an alloy of Cu, and at least one metal selected from Ni, Sn, Zn, and Fe. COPYRIGHT : (C)2008, JPO&INPIT
