PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of an electrode material, along with a recovery method for lithium, positive electrode material, electrode, and battery, capable of reducing the cost of lithium raw material, and also capable of reusing the lithium material, for effective use of the material. SOLUTION : In the manufacturing method of the electrode material, Li3PO4slurry is mixed with Fe source, A source, and reducing agent (SP2), where the resulting mixture is subjected to hydrothermal synthesis, to obtain a reactive product containing LixFeyAzPO4(where, A is one or more kinds selected from among Mg, Ca, Sr, Sc, Y, Ti, Zr, V, Nb, Cr, Mo, W, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Ag, Zn, In, Sn, Sb, rare earth element, and 0xFeyAzPO4and non-reactive Li solution (SP4); the impurities are removed from the non-reactive Li solution (SP6); and Li is made to react with phosphorous acid, to provide Li3PO4slurry again (SP1).
