PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To prevent delay of a job by making a wireless communication terminal which wirelessly communicates with a base station via radio waves, display a radio wave state matching an actual condition, and to prevent a user from viewing the indication of out-of-range as far as possible so as not to give an uneasy feeling to the user.
SOLUTION : A radio wave intensity value R and a connection status value F are measured for a plurality of times of beacons sent from a base station. From among the plurality of measured radio wave intensity values R, values meeting a predetermined condition are selected and the average value Rave of the values is calculated. The average value Rave thus calculated is compared with a threshold value dividing sections of radio wave states and a current radio wave state is determined. When the radio wave state discriminated on the basis of the average value Rave indicates out-of-range, the radio wave state is determined by using the connection status value F.
