PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor which inhibits the decrease in insulation resistance, caused by temporal variations in high-temperature load test, and keeps the high insulation, even if making a reduction treatment, in a multilayer ceramic capacitor having a dielectric porcelain, constituted of crystal particles of barium titanate and crystal particles of titanate zirconate barium calcium, as a dielectric layer. ŽSOLUTION : BT crystal particles 9b and BCTZ crystal particles 9a constituting the dielectric layer 5 contain magnesium, rare earth element, and vanadium. The ratios of each of the contents of Mg and rare earth element contained at the center portion of the BT crystal particles 9b to each of the contents of Mg and rare earth element of the surface of the BT crystal particles 9b, are larger than the ratios of each of the contents of Mg and rare earth element, contained in the center portion of the BCTZ crystal particles 9a to each of the contents of Mg and rare earth element of the surface of the BCTZ crystal particles 9a.
