PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain coercivity (HcJ) exceeding 5, 000 Oe, while having a residual magnetic flux density (Br) around 4, 500 G. SOLUTION : A ferrite sintered magnet includes a sintered body to be obtained in such manner that ferrite having a hexagonal crystal structure is made to be as a main phase. At least one kind of elements which are selected from Sr, Ba, Ca, and Pb, but certainly including Sr, are defined as A; at least one kind of elements which are selected from rare-earth elements (including Y) and Bi, but certainly including La, are defined as R; and elements being Co or Co and Zn are defined as M. Consequently, configuration ratios in the total sum of the respective metallic elements in A, R, Fe, and M are respectively 3-11 atom% in A; 0.2-6 atom% in R; 83-94 atom% in Fe; and 0.3-4 atom% in M concerning a composition. The ratio of the number of crystal particles having a particle size being not more than 1.1 μm is not less than 95%. COPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT
