PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas, which has excellent performance of cleaning exhaust gas. SOLUTION : The catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas includes : at least one of a first compound oxide shown by general formula, AiOj*p(D2-q-rEqGrO3) and a second compound oxide shown by general formula, (Al2-x-yJxLy)O3; and an alkaline earth metal, which is selected from the group including a single substance of the alkaline earth metal, salt of the alkaline earth metal, an organometallic compound including the alkaline earth metal, a simple oxide of the alkaline earth metal, and a mixture thereof, or a compound of the selected alkaline earth metal.
