PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a stacked piezoelectric element of high piezoelectric strain characteristics even if Cu is used as a conductive material of an internal electrode. SOLUTION : The piezoelectric element has porcelain composition, and the conductive material of an internal electrode layer is Cu. The piezoelectric porcelain composition contains, as a main component, a compound oxide expressed by (Pba-bMib)[(Zn1/3Nb2/3)xTiyZrz]O3(0.96≤a≤1.03, 0≤b≤0.1, 0.05≤x≤0.15, 0.25≤y≤0.5, 0.35≤z≤0.6, x+y+z=1, Mi is at least one kind selected from among Sr, Ca, and Ba). It contains, as a first sub component, at least one kind selected from among Co, Mg, Ni, Cr, and Ga by 0.5 wt.% or less in terms of oxide, contains as a second sub component, rare earth metal element by 0.15 wt.% or less in terms of oxide, contains, as a third sub component, Ag by 0.35 wt.% or less in terms of Ag2O, and contains, as a fourth subcomponent, at least one kind selected from among Ta, Sb, Nb, and W by 1 wt.% or less in terms of oxide.
