PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a game machine which can continue enjoyment of even long games by providing an element of surprise to a player. SOLUTION : A value on a fluctuation table counter is updated by 1 each time a fluctuation display is implemented 1, 000 times and as the result of the update a fluctuation pattern table used for determining the pattern of the fluctuation display is updated by 1. Thus, the fluctuation display of different patterns can be implemented in accordance with the number of times the variation display is implemented without changing the determining process of the fluctuation pattern by a main control substrate. More specifically, even with the same fluctuation pattern designating commands, different patterns of the fluctuation display can be portrayed by differentiating the number of times the fluctuation display is implemented. Also, the fluctuation display of patterns memorized in the fluctuation pattern table with a larger value is not portrayed unless the game is continued.
