PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a solid fuel which has a good combustibility and can sufficiently reduce welding to an apparatus during production even if a thermoplastic is used. SOLUTION : The solid fuel contains a powder obtained from coal, and a heating processed product obtained by heating a plastic. The powder contains at least one of pulverized coal prepared by pulverizing coal and a thermal decomposition product obtained by thermally decomposing the pulverized coal. The plastic contains a thermoplastic, and the heating processed product contains a re-solidified product obtained by melting the thermoplastic, followed by cooling it.
