PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electric motor whose efficiency is improved by increasing demagnetization resistance. SOLUTION : The electric motor 3 includes a stator 8, a rotor 9, a coil 38 fixed to the stator 8, and magnets 35, 36 fixed to the rotor 9. The magnets 35, 36 are manufactured by diffusing a heavy rare earth element from the surface of a base material. The heavy rare earth element is located mostly in a position I facing a portion where the distribution of a magnetic field generated from the coil 38 is strong. COPYRIGHT : (C)2011, JPO&INPIT
