PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode having high interface conductivity and superior stability for a long term, a solid oxide fuel cell having the electrode and a composite metal oxide to form them. SOLUTION : The composite metal oxide containing a rare earth metal, an alkaline-earth metal and a transition metal and having a mixed phase of a perovskite-type crystal phase and a K2NiF4-type crystal phase, the electrode obtained from an electrode material containing the composite metal oxide and the solid oxide fuel cell having the electrode as an air electrode are provided.
