PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of preventing adhesion of scale to the surface of products and a scale adhesion preventive article which maintain cleanliness without possibility of adhesion of scale and thus retain a scale adhesion preventing effect for a long period, require little time and effort of cleaning, achieve water saving and also prevent fouling and damage.SOLUTION : The method of preventing adhesion of scale to the surface of products is for preventing adhesion of scale to the surface of products having a coating film which is formed at least in an area(s) of the surface of a substrate to which scale possibly adheres and contains one or more oxides selected from zirconium oxide, hafnium oxide and rare earth oxides. When scale adheres to the surface of the coating film, the scale is removed with an aqueous solution containing one or more agents selected from carboxylic acids, carboxylates and chelating agents.COPYRIGHT : (C)2011, JPO&INPIT
