PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a ferritic stainless steel material in which coarsening is prevented even when the material is exposed to high-temperature brazing as a heat exchanger member.
SOLUTION : The ferritic stainless steel material contains, by mass, ≤0.03% C, >0.1 to 3% Si, 0.1-2% Mn, 10-35% Cr, 0.2-0.8% Nb, ≤0.03% N and according to need, ≤4% in total of at least one of Mo, Cu, V and W, or in addition, ≤0.5% in total of at least one of Ti and Zr, or in addition, further ≤5% in total of at least one of Ni and Co, or in addition, further at least one of ≤6% Al, ≤0.2% REM (rare-earth metals) and ≤0.1% Ca, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. This ferritic stainless steel material for brazing has a partial recrystallized structure whose area ratio of recrystallized particles generated by heating after cold working is 10-80%.
