PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an apparatus of reducing carbon dioxide for manufacturing water for maintaining life easily in the space like Mars or in a desert, especially the apparatus for reducing carbon dioxide on-site with hydrogen delivered from the earth. SOLUTION : The reducing apparatus of carbon dioxide is provided with a reduction zone containing a catalyst at a junction of hydrogen and carbon dioxide or its downstream part of the mixed gas. Hydrogen is supplied in a form of metal alloys for hydrogen storage or a complex metal hydride and is released by heating or pressing the storage tank of the hydride.
