PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To solve the problem that turbid water generated by inflow of earth and sand makes the water purification to drinking water impossible when water of a river or a reservoir is subjected to water purification for securing drinking water at disaster. ŽSOLUTION : A stirring rod 1 for coagulating sedimentation retains a solid coagulant 2 in its one end for obtaining clear supernatant water from the turbid water. The solid coagulant 2 comprises at least a coagulation component and a thickening and bonding component, and the coagulation component is one of aluminum sulfate and polyaluminium chloride, or a their mixture. The water purification is carried out by using supernatant water obtained by stirring the turbid water with the stirring rod. (In the drawing, number 3 represents a strainer for protecting the solid coagulant 2). ŽCOPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT Ž
