PURPOSE : A system and a method for generating the geographic information is provided to generates geographic information about all kinds of facility such as inputted road facility and display plate more rapidly and accurately after checking in rare eyes. CONSTITUTION : An object image storing device(100) an object image. An on-the-spot information obtaining device(200) obtains an image about the object by obtaining the time information and location information according to the movement. A geographic information generation device(300) calculates actual location of an object based on image information which an object is included. A geographic information generation unit(330) calculates the actual location of the object from the data extracted through the object extraction unit(320).
