PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To solve the following problems that rain water from an umbrella has been dropped to a floor directly or the umbrella is put into a plastic bag in a department store or the like, and the plastic bag is disposed of when getting out of indoor in a conventional manner, which is bad for an environment. SOLUTION : Water drops coming down from the end of the umbrella are taken in and absorbed by the sponge part of a rain water absorber body. A sponge push-up part is pressurized against the ground when getting outdoor, and then, the rain water is drained from a rain water drain part and a rain water take-in port. When using the means, injury due to falling by slip on the rain water indoors is prevented and also an earth-friendly environment is obtained by eliminating the use of the plastic bag. The water stored in the sponge is drained in another method. The rain water absorber may be manufactured in various shapes. When the umbrella is connected to the rain water absorber with a joint, the various shapes of rain water absorbers are attached to one umbrella, e.g., the shapes of a golf ball, a doll, an animal, a bobber, and fish, or the like.
