PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a system for treating granules capable of efficiently removing a harmful substance from granules and of decreasing risks such as plugging of its pipeline and malfunctioning of its pump caused by scales comprised of hardly soluble carbonate precipitating therein. SOLUTION : The system for treating granules includes a fine-particle separation means 4 for separating fine particles from effluent resulting from washing by way of solid-liquid separation, discharged from a wet-type sorting means 2 that classifies granules into fine particles and medium particles while washing the granules, a first circulation route 3 for sending effluent having been subjected to solid-liquid separation carried out by the fine-particle separation means 4, back to the wet-type sorting means 2, a second circulation route 7 for sending effluent discharged from a re-washing means 5 for re-washing the medium particles classified by the wet-type sorting means 2 back to the re-washing means 5, a fresh water supply route 8 for supplying fresh water to the re-washing means 5, an effluent supply route 9 for supplying a portion of the effluent discharged from the re-washing means 5 to the first circulation route 3 as washing water, and a means 6 for generating a carbonate ion that generates a carbonate ion for removing specific substances contained in the effluent discharged from the wet-type sorting means 2.
