PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an industrial process of efficiently producing a high quality zinc sulfide phosphor.SOLUTION : The process of producing the zinc sulfide phosphor includes mixing and reacting a compound containing at least one of element selected from among gold, silver, copper, manganese, and rare earth elements, a group II metal formate, a co-activator, and a sulfidizing agent in an aqueous medium to obtain zinc sulfide phosphor particles, and, as needed, firing the zinc sulfide phosphor particles as the precursor to obtain the phosphor.COPYRIGHT : (C)2010, JPO&INPIT
