PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an easily water-collapsible diamotomaceous earth molded product capable of being molded into an arbitrary shape and size corresponding to a use, excellent in water collapsibility and filterability and having a sufficient strength not bringing about trouble during transport and keeping, and its manufacturing method. ŽSOLUTION : The easily water-collapsible diatomaceous earth molded product contains diatomaceous earth and pullulan being a binder and is characterized in that the compounding amount of pullulan is 2-30 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass of diatomaceous earth. This molded product is manufactured by molding a mixture, which is prepared by adding pullulan to diatomaceous earth as the binder, in the presence of moisture and drying the obtained molded article.
