Use : with the production of rare isotopes, for example, the isotope of ytterbium - 168, for purposes of their application before the instrument manufacture and biological studies, and also before radiation medicine, in particular for treating the malignant formations. Essence : Device for obtaining the isotope of ytterbium by the method of laser isotope separation includes the laser system, optically connected with it the separating camera, in which are placed, at least, two modules, each of which contains the shaper of the beam of vapor of ytterbium atoms in the form of vaporizer with the collimator, and electrostatic extractor with two those connected down the high-voltage power source by the electrodes, one of which is the anode, and the second - by cathode, in this case separating camera contains means for the load and unloadings of modules, and also means of connection to the corresponding power sources, to the vacuum system and the cooling system, that is characterized by the fact that it contains the multipass optical system in the form of two-mirror resonator, located inside the separating camera and made with the possibility of the extra-axial introduction of the composite laser beam, and the electrostatic extractor is executed in the form housing with the entrance slit, before which they are placed cathode and the detachable collector of the ions of target isotope, established beyond the internal surface of housing, in this case housing is made from the conducting material and is the anode, and the configuration of electrodes is selected with the possibility of the placement of the area between the electrodes out of the zone of the formation of photo-plasma. Invention is allowed it will increase the effectiveness of the accumulation of the ions of target isotope, due to an increase in the probability of excitation and photoionization of the atoms of target isotope and increase in the selectivity of isotope separation, and to also increase the productivity of installation and to increase the service life of the work of device.
