The present invention relates to a tree root cutter, and more particularly, to a tree root cutter which thoroughly and effectively cuts the roots of trees from beneath earth to wither the trees which might otherwise grow over together with kudzu root and cause damage to the crops. The tree root cutter of the present invention comprises : a saw blade which rotates by rotating power; a driver unit for driving the saw blade; a cover equipped with a cutter body which transmits rotating power and which has a support for allowing a user to hold the cutter, wherein said cover has a shape capable of supporting the saw blade and the driver unit, and digging into earth; a foot pressing unit arranged on the cover to press the cover; and a fixing post which slides in a vertical direction from the top of the cover and is fixed at the ground.
