PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high-pressure discharge lamp, and an illuminating device, excelling in luminescence characteristics including color rendering properties, especially, and to provide a red-color rendering index R9.SOLUTION : The high-pressure discharge lamp L as well as the illuminating device is provided with an arc tube 4, with a discharge medium consisting of luminescent materials and rare gas sealed in an air-tight container, an enclosure 1 to enclose the arc tube 4, and a visibility selective absorption film 6 on a surface of the enclosure 1, formed by coating silicone resin containing an organic compound which has at least one absorption peak in wavelengths of 550-600 nm at lighting.COPYRIGHT : (C)2010, JPO&INPIT
