PURPOSE : Cast steel for a slag pot with superior strength and elongation is provided to extend service life and reduce cracks in a slag pot by manufacturing a slag pot of high strength low alloy cast steel.CONSTITUTION : Cast steel for a slag pot(10) with superior strength and elongation comprises C 0.09~0.16 weight%%, Mn 0.6~ 1.0 weight%%, P 0.025 weight%% or less, S 0.025 weight%% or less, Si 0.6 weight%% or less, Ni 0.09~0.13 weight%%, Cr 0.35~0.40 weight%%, Mo 0.45~0.55 weight%%, rare-earth elements 0.1~1.0 weight%%, Nb or V 0.1~0.2 weight%%, and the rest including Fe and inevitable impurities.
