PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To make a cabin space as wide as possible when no passenger occupies a front passenger seat. ŽSOLUTION : A device 3 for adjusting a position of a front passenger seat 1 in a front/rare direction is equipped with an intermediate rail 30 (intermediate moving body), the lower rail 10 (lower guiding means) for guiding the intermediate rail 30 in the front/rear direction with respect to a floor 2 of an automobile and supporting the intermediate rail 30, and the upper rail 20 (upper guiding means) for guiding the passenger seat 1 in the front/rare direction with respect to the intermediate rail 30 and supporting the passenger seat 1. When the passenger seat 1 under a folded state is in the foremost position with respect to the floor 2, the passenger seat 1 enters the space 5 between an installment panel 4 and the floor 2.
