PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an arsenic-containing water treatment method which achieves inexpensive removal treatment of arsenic while preventing re-elution of arsenic as much as possible. SOLUTION : The arsenic-containing water treatment method includes the steps of : supplying arsenic-containing raw water to a treatment tank; oxidizing arsenic in the raw water only by air oxidation according to aeration; and adding an iron salt into the raw water and coprecipitating arsenic and iron to remove arsenic from the raw water. Further the method repeatedly utilizes produced sludge without extracting it from the treatment tank to thereby make density of the sludge high while producing ferric arsenate, consequently the method can prevent re-elution of arsenic.
