PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for stably producing acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile for a long period of time by suppressing the reduction of yield with time. SOLUTION : When acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile is produced by ammoxidation, a catalyst 1 and a catalyst 2 are represented by empirical formula (1) respectively as an oxide catalyst; when the atomic ratio of a G-component of the catalyst 1 is g1 and that of the catalyst 2 is g2, they are expressed by 112BiaFebCcDdEeFfGgNahOx(wherein, C denotes Ni, Co, Mn, Zn, Mg, Ca, Sr, or Ba; D denotes a rare earth element; E denotes Cr, W, B, Al, Ga, In, P, Sb, or T; F denotes Pd, Rh, Ru, Pt, Ir, or Os; G denotes K, Rb, or Cs; and O denotes oxygen).
