PURPOSE : An antifungal composition containing a rare earth compound or a rare chelate compound is provided to suppress the growth of plant pathogenic fungi and to improve agricultural product quality.CONSTITUTION : An antifungal composition contains a rare earth compound or a rare chelate compound as an active ingredient. The rare earth compound is 15 elements from atomic number 57 to 71(lanthanum to lutetium), atomic number 21(scandium), or atomic number 39(Yttrium). The rare chelate compound is compound chelated with EDTA(ethylene diamine tetra acetate), citric acid, or tartaric acid.
