PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing oxide glass having transparency and water resistance without including lead by melting at a low temperature of 550°C or less. SOLUTION : The method for manufacturing tin containing oxide glass comprises : mixing phosphoric acids, a tin compound and an alkali metal compound so as to contain, by mol% in terms of oxides, P2O5 : 35-55 mol%, SnO : 34-59 mol% and alkali metal oxide R2O (R=Li, Na, K, Cs, Rb...) : 0.2-20 mol% to prepare a precursor; and heating the obtained precursor at a melting temperature of 550°C or less to be amorphous. Rare earth oxide MxOy (M=Ce, La, Y, Nd, ...)(x and y=1, 2, 3, ...) may be added by 0.1-5 mol%. SELECTED DRAWING : None COPYRIGHT : (C)2019, JPO&INPIT
