PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a novel rare earth metal complex, preferably a rare earth metal complex usable as a wavelength conversion member. SOLUTION : There is provided a rare earth metal complex in which a ligand represented by the chemical formula (I) and the chemical formula (II), and having a hydrogen group or a thiol group (A1), and an azomethine group, and a β-diketonato ligand represented by the chemical formula (III) are configurated together, and at least one kind of anion is further configurated, and which contains a rare earth metal.
