Provided is a capillary comprising a fluorescent glass which emits sufficient fluorescence without causing problems such as crystallization and phase separation of the glass. The capillary comprises a glass containing at least one rare earth metal selected from among SiO2, B2O3, Al2O3, and Tb, Tm, Sm, Dy, Eu, Ho and Er as essential components, wherein the total content of SiO2, B2O3, and Al2O3 is 65-90 mol% in terms of oxide.
