PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode for a fluorescent lamp which has excellent anti-sputtering performance and is capable of maintaining excellent dark start characteristics for extended hours when used as an electrode for a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp, to provide a fluorescent lamp capable of extending life by using the same, and to provide a manufacturing method of the electrode for a fluorescent lamp capable of easily manufacturing the electrode for the fluorescent lamp at a low cost.
SOLUTION : In the base material of nickel or nickel alloy, one or more kinds of rare earth elements selected from among lantern, cerium, yttria, samarium, preseodymium, neodymium, europium, and gadolinium are dispersed as a deposition phase of boride.
