PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a luminaire for preventing the luminous efficiency degradation of an electrodeless discharge lamp while suppresssing the rise of a coldest point temperature.SOLUTION : The luminaire comprises a luminaire body 2 for supporting the electrodeless discharge lamp 1, and a reflecting part 3 for reflecting light emitted from a bulb 5 of the electrodeless discharge lamp 1. The bulb 5 is formed of a translucent material to be hollow and air-tight and filled with rare gas and mercury. On the outer peripheral face of the bulb 5, a protruded portion 6 is provided as a coldest point portion. The reflecting part 3 consists of reflecting mirrors 15, 16, 17. The reflecting mirror 15 opposed to the protruded portion 6 has a through-hole 4 through which the protruded portion 6 is inserted. A space where the protruded portion 6 is located and a space where the bulb 5 is stored can be separated from each other via the reflecting part 3, and so the protruded portion 6 is isolated from the light emission and heating of the bulb 5 to suppress the rise of the coldest point temperature.
