PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To further enhance output voltage in a solid oxide fuel cell by enhancing the characteristics of an air electrode containing a ceria compound. SOLUTION : A solid oxide fuel cell includes an electrolyte 101 composed of a zirconia-based material, a fuel electrode 102 formed on one side of the electrolyte 101, and an air electrode 103 composed of (CeO2)1-x-y(PrO11/6)x(RO3/2)y (0.02≤x≤1; 0≤y≤0.4; 0≤1-x-y<0.7) formed on the other side of the electrolyte 101.
