PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare gas discharge lamp on which a reflecting member can be arranged in a simple method and which has improved light emitting property by using the reflecting member having good reflective property.SOLUTION : The double tube type rare gas discharge lamp includes a rare gas discharge lamp consisting of a luminous tube having a luminous layer on the inner face and filled with rare gas, and a pair of external electrodes arranged on the outer surface of the luminous tube at a mutual space along the tube axial direction of the luminous tube, and a translucent insulating cylinder body and an approximately columnar holder for storing the rare gas discharge lamp in an approximately sealed condition, the holder closing the end opening of the cylinder body. A light reflecting sheet is arranged on the outer peripheral face of the translucent insulating cylinder body, and a translucent tube as a heat shrinkable tube is mounted on the light reflecting sheet.COPYRIGHT : (C)2010, JPO&INPIT
