PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an oxide superconductive wire rod capable of suppressing reduction of a critical current density without raising temperature even when the thickness of a superconductive thin film increases.
SOLUTION : The superconductive thin film wire rod includes : an intermediate layer laminated on a substrate; and a thin film layer which is laminated on the intermediate layer and composed of a rare earth oxide superconductor RE-Ba-Cu-O (in the formula, RE is selected one or two or more from rare earth elements (La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Y, and Yb)). In the thin film layer, the composition ratio of Ba and Cu is reduced as the separation distance from the intermediate layer increases, and the composition ratio of the rare earth elements relatively increases. By this structure, in the oxide superconductive wire rod, even when the thickness of the superconductive thin film increases, reduction of the critical current density can be suppressed without increasing the temperature.
