PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a compact formed by filling a group of alloy microparticles being a raw material of a magnet into a mold and applying a fixed magnetic field in the same direction, in which a magnetic domain of the alloy microparticles is orientated in the direction of a magnet field to have density close to the density of the alloy, and to manufacture an anisotropic rare earth magnet by applying a magnetic field for saturating magnetization of the alloy microparticles to the compact, further the anisotropic rare earth magnet has coercive force and maximum energy product close to a conventional anisotropic rare earth magnet and has quality that is hardly corroded without causing an eddy current.
SOLUTION : An organometallic compound deposited with heat decomposition by a metal oxide having both nonmagnetism and insulation is adsorbed to alloy microparticles being a raw material of a magnet. A group of the alloy microparticles is filled into a mold, and the temperature of the mold is raised to perform heat decomposition of the organometallic compound. After this, a fixed magnetic field is applied to the group of the alloy microparticles in the same direction, and compression stress is applied to manufacture a compact. An anisotropic rare earth magnet is manufactured by fully magnetizing the compact.
